In this performance I aim to separate the viewer's expectation of narrative in the moving image from the viewer's interior and personal dialogue (narrative) arising as the user thinks they may predict the next event. With this level of expectation, which is intended to be frustrated, the project tries to explore the viewer's ideas about the otherness of the performer. In earlier versions of this performance the person of the performer was unmasked and clothed more naturally
In essence you are watching the same 4 actions in a forward or backward running video, the change over between these two timelines being randomly dictated by the web code. Occasionally the performer may appear to change their mind halfway through the action, this again is down to a change of timeline.
